Osimhen had initially backed out of earlier talks after demanding €40 million per year, which the club refused to meet.
However, fresh reports now reveal he has settled for a €30 million-a-year deal on a four-year contract.
According to Sky Sports Italy, the Nigerian striker has reached an agreement on salary with Al Hilal, though a final deal between the two clubs is yet to be confirmed.
“The striker has, in fact, found an agreement with the Arab club regarding the salary he would receive. However, an agreement between the two clubs is still missing,” the outlet reported.
Journalist Sacha Tavolieri added that Osimhen’s total pay over the contract—counting bonuses—will be around $40 million.
While Victor Osimhen has given the green light, Napoli and Al Hilal are still negotiating the transfer fee.
Napoli is asking for €75 million, but Al Hilal’s current best offer stands at €70 million. Talks are expected to continue in the coming days.
Should the deal be completed quickly, Osimhen could feature for Al Hilal in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, with the registration deadline closing on June 10.
The news is a major setback for Turkish side Galatasaray, who hoped to keep Osimhen after a stellar loan season where he scored 37 goals in 43 matches.
KanyiDaily recalls that Napoli were reportedly upset with Victor Osimhen for rejecting the January move to Manchester United.
