KanyiDaily recalls that the 20-year-old content creator was allegedly kidnapped by gunmen while streaming online on his way home on Wednesday.
Videos shared on social media showed Peller appearing to mistake the men for security officials before they led him off.
Speaking to Channels Television on Thursday, police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin said officers are still looking into the situation but confirmed that Peller was found unharmed at home.
He said, “We are investigating the allegation, but we can confirm that the person in question, Habeeb, popularly known as Peller, is at home safe and sound.
“His vehicle is also intact, all his phones and properties, nothing was missing. But we are investigating to check the veracity of that claim, and the outcome of that investigation will determine our next line of action.”
Hundeyin stressed that all possibilities remain under review since no violence was recorded and Peller had not lost any property.
“That is what we are investigating. All of his properties were intact, and he, too, was intact; there was no violence whatsoever,” he explained.
Peller, who first gained attention in 2021 for his comedy skits and livestreams, has since built a strong following online.
KanyiDaily recalls that Peller recently opened up about why he left Islam and chose to follow Christianity.
