NDPHC MD Seen Giving Sarah Martins N20m Seyi Tinubu’s Behalf Despite His Denial [Video]

A video has surfaced showing Jennifer Adighije, Managing Director of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC), handing over N20 million to Nollywood actress Sarah Martins on behalf of Seyi Tinubu.

The controversy traces back to last week when Sarah Martins accused officials of the Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) unit of harassing her during a charity event in the Ikate area of Lekki, Lagos.

The movie star alleged that the KAI officials seized food, a gas cylinder, and other materials she was using to feed the less privileged.

The Lagos State Government later defended the KAI officials, stating that Martins violated environmental and safety laws by cooking on a public road median without authorization.

Following the incident, Martins shared a video on Instagram thanking Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, and the Noella Foundation, run by his wife Layla, for a N20 million donation.

However, Seyi Tinubu later denied being the source of the money, saying that the funds were raised by some of his friends who were touched by Martins’ situation.

He noted that while he was aware of the gesture, he personally does not support any actions that breach Lagos state regulations.

Despite his clarification, a new video shows Adighije, who became NDPHC Managing Director in August 2024, handing Martins a bundle of cash said to total N20 million in U.S. dollars.

In the video, Adighije can be heard saying, “Seyi asked me to give this to you. He is out of the country… when he comes back he said I should let you know he will see you and expect you to be able to get a shop with this.”

The footage also captures an emotional Martins expressing deep gratitude saying, “God bless you, Mr. Seyi Tinubu, God bless you, sir. This means a lot. And it will go a long way.”

KanyiDaily recalls that Seyi Tinubu recently dismissed claims circulating online that he insisted his father must complete two terms in office.
