Sammy was initially remanded at Keffi Prison by a Dutse Magistrate Court on Thursday before being transferred to Suleja Prison. His release was confirmed in a video that went viral on social media on Monday.
The video captured Sammy leaving the courtroom with his mother, Rita Daniels, actress Mercy Johnson, and other supporters shortly after his bail was approved.
In the video, Rita Daniels is seen celebrating and expressing gratitude, saying, “After consulting the gods, the gods did well. The gods did it,” as family members cheered and recorded the moment.
The family also thanked Nigerians for their prayers and support, concluding their celebration with the phrase “Victoria Asata,” which signifies victory.
Sammy’s elder brother, known on Instagram as @Sweezzy1, also shared the good news, writing, “Sammy, you are a great man. Bail has been granted! Nigerians, thank you.”
Sammy’s arrest came after the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command charged him with criminal conspiracy, trespassing, assault, intimidation, and theft.
His detention had sparked strong emotions from his sister, Regina Daniels, who broke down in tears in a viral video, lamenting her family’s troubles.
The situation came amid reports of a marital crisis between the actress and her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
KanyiDaily recalls that Regina Daniels accused Senator Ned Nwoko of physical assault, a claim he denied, insisting that her recent actions were influenced by substance use.
