Not Even $1 Billion Could Make Me Join Politics – Bishop David Oyedepo

The founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, popularly known as Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, said that no amount of money, including one billion dollars, could persuade him to go into politics.

He made the statement during the fifth day of the impartation service at the church’s annual Shiloh 2025 programme, which was observed by Channels Television.

Recalling events from the past, Oyedepo said he had warned church members in 2015 that difficult times were ahead, a warning he believes has now come true.

According to him, politics is not part of his divine assignment, stressing that anyone who enters it without a calling risks losing honour, respect, and purpose.

He said even an offer of $1 billion would not make him consider political involvement.

“In 2015, I warned the church that trouble was coming. Didn’t trouble come?

“If you give me 1 billion dollars, I would not even go near politics. It is off my calling. Those who are not called there will lose their dignity and respect. They will lose everything”, he said.

The bishop advised members of the church to stay focused on their God-given purpose, noting that true influence and leadership come from operating within one’s calling.

He explained that it is only through this alignment that believers can make a real impact and become part of what he described as God’s end-time army.

Oyedepo also spoke about the state of the world, saying humanity is in desperate need of divine solutions. He referenced the Bible, stating that the world is waiting for believers to rise and take responsibility.

He added that a new generation of leaders inspired by figures like Joseph and Daniel would emerge to offer answers to national challenges, describing the moment as one filled with unprecedented possibilities.

“The world is groaning in darkness, but as embedded in Romans 8:19, the world is waiting for the earnest manifestations of the children of God.

“The army of God is about to emerge to proffer solutions to national crises in the order of Joseph and Daniel. It is the day of what eyes have not seen or ears heard,” he further said.

Shiloh 2025 began on December 9 and is scheduled to end on December 14 at the Faith Tabernacle in Canaanland, Ota, Ogun State. The annual gathering brings together thousands of worshippers for spiritual growth, teachings, and fellowship.

KanyiDaily recalls that Bishop David Oyedepo received two luxurious Rolls-Royce Cullinan cars as gifts during his 70th birthday celebration on Friday.
