During a media parley hosted by the governor, journalist Chika Nwabueze stood up and asked Otti to present clear, verifiable data showing the economic and overall impact of his administration since taking office in May 2023, beyond road construction projects.
In his response, Governor Otti challenged the journalist, asking whether he lived in Abia and suggesting that he should already have access to such information.
He said the media chat was meant to be taken seriously and not used to promote opposition views.
According to him, it was inappropriate for a journalist living in the state to ask him to provide data about developments within that same state.
‘’You have not said anything. Do you live in Abia? If you live in Umuahia, you are the one that will provide data. The point is that this media chat is a serious media chat; we are not here to massage opposition.
“You can’t come to a media chat and you are asking me to provide data about the measurable impact and work that is being done in the state where you live. It is irresponsible.
;That we throw this open for people to ask question doesn’t mean that people should be stupid. Lets take this seriously.’‘ Governor Otti said.
KanyiDaily recalls that the Ukwa La Ngwa community in Abia recently donated ₦100 million to fund Governor Alex Otti’s nomination form for his 2027 re-election campaign.
