During a recent preaching, Odumeje urged men not to carry out DNA tests, saying the practice goes against Igbo traditions surrounding family and fatherhood.
The cleric explained that any child born by a man’s wife should be accepted as his, as long as no one else steps forward to claim the child.
According to him, seeking a paternity test in such situations is viewed as unacceptable in Igbo culture.
“Desist from doing DNA, It’s against Igbo culture. Any child born by your wife regardless of who’s responsible belongs to you as long as nobody is coming out to claim it,” he said.
His comments triggered mixed reactions with some people agreeing with him,, while others disagreed, insisting that DNA tests help establish the truth and remove doubts.
KanyiDaily recalls that Odumeje declared that anyone who publicly discredits his miracles would face divine retribution, asserting that such critics would not survive.
