Elsie Okpocha Addresses Paternity Fraud Claims Behind Her Split With Basketmouth

Elsie Okpocha, the estranged wife of Nigerian comedian Basketmouth, has reacted to rumours claiming that their marriage ended because of paternity fraud.

Elsie and Basketmouth announced their separation in December 2022 after 12 years of marriage, a development that came as a surprise to many fans and close associates.

The fresh speculation started after a blog published a report alleging that the comedian had said in an interview that a DNA test showed their first child was not his biological child, and that this led to the breakup.

Reacting on her Instagram story, Elsie Okpocha slammed bloggers spreading the story and questioned whether Basketmouth had ever made such a statement.

She also warned that while people may choose to spread made-up stories about her, her children should not be dragged into the controversy.

“All you Facebook bloggers fabricating lies, is Basketmouth aware he made that statement? You can make up unimaginable stories about me but please leave my kids out of this nonsense,” she wrote.

KanyiDaily recalls that Elsie Okpocha previously expressed her frustration on social media, hinting that Basketmouth might be influencing their child against her.
