Man Assaults Woman For Rejecting His Advances In Akwa Ibom [Photos]

A man attacked a woman in Akwa Ibom State, sparking outrage online, with many people calling for justice for the victim.

It was gathered that the incident happened at the woman’s shop on Hospital Road in Abak town on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

According to reports, the woman, Rachael Ndop, was allegedly assaulted by the man identified as Hope Ekong after she turned down his advances.

In the video circulating on social media, the woman could be heard asking the suspect where he kept her food while the confrontation continued.

The incident has triggered anger among residents, who are now urging the police to quickly arrest the suspect and ensure he is prosecuted.

Many also called on relevant authorities in Akwa Ibom  to make sure the case is properly handled and not ignored.
