I Support Tinubu Because Yoruba People Brightened My Life – Cubana Chief Priest

Nigerian socialite Cubana Chief Priest said he remains firmly behind President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections.

Speaking during an interview on The Beat 99.9 FM, the Cubana Chief Priest explained that his support is based on the progress made by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in his home state of Imo.

The businessman, whose real name is Pascal Okechukwu, noted that, as a Nigerian, he believes in supporting people from all ethnic groups.

However, he added that the Yoruba community has played a meaningful role in shaping his personal and professional life.

Cubana also reflected on his political choices, mentioning that he backed the former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi in the previous election.

He said that since he is not directly involved in decision-making, he is willing to support the current leadership.

“My support for Tinubu is something that’s not shakeable because I had to take a proper look at the achievements of APC in my state.

“As a Nigerian, I must support all tribes but if you check my life, the best people that have come around my corner and brighten my life are the Yoruba people.

“I supported Peter Obi during the last election, I could actually do better if I’m on this table where these decisions are being made but me being unable to get the ticket, I can support who’s there,” he said.

KanyiDaily recalls that Cubana Chief Priest previously said President Bola Tinubu does not trust him, which he thinks affected his chances of getting the APC ticket for a seat in the House of Representatives in Imo State.
