Niniola Announces Death Of Her Husband Michael Ndika

Nigerian singer Niniola Apata has announced the death of her husband, Michael Ndika.

The singer shared the sad news in a series of posts on her Instagram page early Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

In the posts, she expressed her pain in simple words, saying, “God took him,” and “My husband died.”

She also reflected on how long they had been together, saying, “God took him. 13 years. 13 f***ing years.”

Michael Ndika was the chief executive officer of NaijaReview, a platform known for covering afro-house and modern African music.

Niniola has always kept her personal life private, so little is known about their relationship outside of what she has chosen to share.

Details about how her husband died have not been made public at the time of filing this report.
