Earlier, Reno Omokri appeared on Channels Television’s Politics Today, where he addressed questions about why he has yet to assume office.
He explained that his delayed resumption is linked to the ongoing FIFA World Cup being jointly hosted by the United States and Mexico.
Omokri also dismissed claims that Mexican authorities had refused to accept him as Nigeria’s envoy, stressing that such reports are being spread by political opponents seeking to damage his reputation.
Davido, however, did not hold back in his response.
Taking to his Instagram Story, the music star mocked Omokri in Igbo language, referring to him as “Umu Bingo” before calling him a “fowl”.
KanyiDaily recalls that former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has praised Davido for using his global platform to draw attention to the country’s security challenges during the ongoing FIFA World Cup.
