William Gallas Speaks On Cole Palmer’s Allege Plan To Join Manchester United

Former Chelsea defender William Gallas said Cole Palmer is unlikely to leave the club for Manchester United during the current transfer window.

There were earlier reports suggesting Cole Palmer wanted to leave London because he was homesick, but Chelsea dismissed those claims.

However, transfer speculation has resurfaced following the club’s disappointing season, which ended without qualification for European football.

Despite the rumours, William Gallas feels now is not the right time for Palmer to leave Stamford Bridge.

Speaking to iPredicta, Gallas said the England international should first enjoy another strong season before thinking about a move elsewhere.

I don’t think Cole Palmer will go right now. I don’t think it’s time to go right now,” the former France international said.

“He will definitely go to Manchester United in the future if he’s a big fan, if he’s got a dream to play for Man United, he will definitely go there, but right now I don’t think so.”

“I think he needs to have one more big season as he did two years ago, before he got his injury problem, then he might move.”

Meanwhile, Manchester United’s new signing, Andrey Santos, has revealed that Palmer congratulated him after his move to Old Trafford.

The Brazilian midfielder joined United on a five-year contract after the club agreed a deal worth an initial £48 million, with another £2 million possible in performance-related bonuses.

Santos said Palmer sent him a message, wishing him success in Manchester and encouraging him as he begins the next stage of his career.

“So pleased. I got a message from Cole [Palmer], he sent a message because he was born here [Manchester], so he knows everything here.

“He said all the best for you, for your career, you deserve this, a lot of things. So I’m so excited to be here in Manchester with my new teammates.”
