15-Year-Old Kelvin Doe is an engineering whiz living in Sierra Leone who scours the trash bins for spare parts, which he uses to build batteries, generators and transmitters. Completely self-taught, Kelvin has created his own radio station where he broadcasts news and plays music under the moniker, DJ Focus.
I love sharing stories like this to inspire and motivate other youngsters. Kevin was living in abject poverty but he didn’t allow that stop this engineering dreams. This whiz kid built something amazing from trash….watch video above.

I feel so inspired by dis story and d greatest part of it is that is so young. With so much ambition, drive and force.
Absolutely fantastic!! We have lots of people like DJ Focus in and around Africa. We just need to provide a forum and platform to discover them and develop their skill/talent. The governments of African countries need to do more to invest in their citizens to reach and attain a better quality of Life.
