Four Nigerians diagnosed of Ebola Virus Disease have been discharged after recovering from the ailment.
This now bring to five the number of Ebola patients discharged in the last 72 hours.

On Saturday, the first Nigerian to be diagnosed with the disease Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevohwas discharged after she recovered fully from the disease.

The newly discharged patients are – two male medical doctors and one female nurse that participated in the treatment of the index case – Patrick Sawyer, while the fourth person was on admission at the time the Liberian was brought to the hospital.

The Minister of Health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu, announced the latest development in a terse statement signed by his media aide, Mr. Dan Nwomeh.
The statement reads:

 “The Minister of Health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu, has announced that four additional confirmed cases of Ebola Virus Disease who have been managed successfully and are now free of the disease have been discharged home today.
“They are two male medical doctors and one female nurse. The three participated in the treatment of the index case while the fourth person was a female patient at the time the index was on admission. This brings to five the total number of patients diagnosed with Ebola Virus Disease who have now been discharged from hospital.
