A Federal High Court today Monday, June 27 sacked Dr Okezie Ikpeazu as the Governor of Abia State for allegedly submitted false information to his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, ahead of the party’s governorship primary in December 2014.

In his judgement, Justice Okon Abang ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to immediately issue a certificate of return to the plaintiff, Uche Ogah, who polled the second highest number of votes in the primary.

He also ordered the chief judge of the state to swear in Ogah.

However, in a statement issued by Enyinnaya Appolos who is the chief press secretary to the governor, the governor assured the people of Abia that he still remains their governor.
