Dino Melaye Speaks From Hideout Why He Won’t Surrender To The Police

The controversial senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye has finally spoken from his hideout on the reasons why he will not surrender himself to the Nigeria Police Force.

On December 28, 2018, the controversial Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, cried out to the general public that the Nigerian Police invaded his Abuja residence at Number 11 Sangha street, off Mississippi, Maitama.

In response, the police said they are after the senator in order to arrest him for his alleged involvement in an attack on their colleague.

According to them, Melaye alongside his ‘armed thugs’ shot one Sergeant Danjuma Saliu, attached to 37 Police Mobile Force who was on duty at a stop and search point along Aiyetoro Gbede, Mopa Road in Kogi State on July 19, 2018.

In an interview with Channels TV on Saturday, December 29th, Melaye said he’s not in Abuja at the moment and would make himself available to the police once he returns.

However, on Tuesday evening, January 1st, 2018, rather than debunk or admit the allegations made by the police, the Senator compared his challenges to that of Prophet Elijah in the Bible and maintained that he will continue to remain in his hideout.

He wrote:

“The Bible record prophet Elijah to be among one of the strongest prophets that lived, but he went to mount Carmel to hide when king Ahab sought him to kill him cos of the way he boldly declared the truth. There is a difference with being scared and being wise.”

Mr. Melaye said the Bible records Prophet Elijah to be one of the strongest prophets that lived, but he went to Mount Carmel to hide when King Ahab sought him to kill him because of the way he boldly declared the truth.
