South African disk jockey, DJ Mampintsha has been arrested by the law enforcement agency in the country for assaulting his girlfriend and singer, Babes Wodumo.
Earlier, we published a viral video that shows Babes Wodumo, who an Internationally celebrated artist, being seriously beaten repeatedly by DJ Mampintsha live on her Instagram.
The video caught a lot of attention after going viral, it was generally criticized by everyone who has watched it.
According to a fresh report, DJ Mampintsha was arrested by police on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, and is expected to appear before a court. The National police spokesperson, Brigadier Vishnu Naidoo, said:
“The suspect in the Babes Wodumo assault case has been arrested and is currently in police custody. He will be processed and taken to court soon.”
We gathered that Wodumo’s father, Reverend Welcome Simelane had revealed that his daughter would be receiving treatment at a Durban hospital.
