The lawmaker representing Kogi West Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Dino Melaye, has provided video evidence against the claim by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that it has no server.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar had asked the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal to compel INEC to grant them access to the server and smart card readers used in the conduct of the 2019 election.
But counsel to INEC, Yunus Ustaz Usman (SAN) in a counter affidavit asked the court to dismiss the application on the ground that the commission had no server.
“They are asking us to bring something we don’t have,” he said
In a tweet on Sunday morning, Melaye uploaded a video showing how the election results were transmitted through the Card Reader to the said server. He captioned the video:
“When they claim they don’t have a server show them this.”
