Nigerians Attack Tunde Ednut For Dissing Innoson Motors’ SUV Given To Mercy By BBNaija

Former singer and comedian, Tunde Ednut has come under fire after making mockery of the Innoson car presented to the winner of the BBNaija 2019 season, Mercy Eke.

KanyiDaily had reported that Mercy was presented her brand new N25 million Innoson SUV, which was part of the prize she earned for emerging the winner of this year’s BBNaija show.

While many people showed appreciation to the company for keeping their promise and for putting Nigeria on the automobile map, Tunde hopped on his Instagram to say nasty things about the company, alleging that the car is too poor compared to the amount of money realised from the show. He said:

“See the car they are giving to Lambo after all the money they made. Not even GWagon or Range. BBN Don buy NEPA motor for our Lambo. Dis one na made in 51 Iweka road onitsha”.

})(jQuery);

Many Nigerians are now bashing him for rubbishing Nigeria’s brand, Innoson.

Meanwhile, Members of the Anambra State House of Assembly have rejected Toyota Prado SUVs from the state government as their official vehicles, preferring instead, the locally manufactured Innoson Jeep so as to save cost.

The lawmakers were said to have argued that it is an unnecessary waste of funds to purchase the Toyota Prado Jeeps for 30 members of the house, which will cost the state almost N1billion, when a similar vehicle produced by Innoson Motors Limited, Nnewi, would cost much less.
