President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly canceled all the appointments and approvals personally made by his late Chief of staff, Abba Kyari, without his permission.
The Guardian reports indicated that no less than 150 memos without the President’s authorization may have been uncovered.
It was gathered that Buhari directed his new Chief of Staff, Ibrahim Agboola Gambari, to declare all the actions carried out without his permission null and void.
“By this new development, every official action carried out by the late COS without presidential approval may have been declared null and void and of no effect,” a presidential source said.
Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina acknowledged an sms seeking clarification on the development but declined to confirm or refute the reports.
He simply said, “I’ve seen your text, I’ve seen your text,” and ended the chat when contacted via a phone call on Sunday.
Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu also did not reply to a text message seeking a confirmation on the development.
KanyiDaily had reported that Abba Kyari died on April 17, 2020, in a hospital in Lagos State after contacting the ravaging coronavirus disease.
