Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai said on Friday that out of the 18 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in the state, 10 were members of the same family.
El-Rufai, who disclosed this on his Twitter page, said the new cases were recorded in four Local Government Areas of the state.
According to him, 14 of the new cases are from Kaduna North, two from Zaria and one each from Chikun and Sabon-Gari.
“18 new cases were recorded today, 10 of whom are family members of one case,” he wrote.
“14 of the new cases are from Kaduna North, two from Zaria and one each from Chikun and Sabon-Gari LGAs.”
The governor appealed to residents to adhere strictly to safety measures put in place to check the spread of the virus in the state.
