“212 In Lagos, 69 In Oyo” – Nigeria Records 624 New Coronavirus Cases As Total Rises To 41,804

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 624 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of infection in the country to 41,804.

The NCDC made this known on Tuesday night via its Twitter page where it disclosed that the new cases were recorded in 18 states with Lagos topping the daily infection with 212 new cases, while Oyo reported 69.

Other states with new cases include Niger (49), Kano (37), Osun (37), FCT (35, Plateau (34), Gombe (33), Edo (28), Enugu (28), Ebonyi (17), Delta (10), Katsina (9), Ogun (8), Rivers (7), Ondo (5), Kaduna (4) and Nasarawa (2).

There are 561 Covid-19 patients discharged across Nigeria in the last 24 hours with the number of successfully treated cases in the country now 18,764.

“On the 28th of July 2020, 624 new confirmed cases and 8 deaths were recorded in Nigeria,” NCDC said.

“The 624 new cases are reported from 18 states- Lagos (212), Oyo (69), Niger (49), Kano (37), Osun (37), FCT (35), Plateau (34), Gombe (33), Edo (28), Enugu (28), Ebonyi (17), Delta (10), Katsina (9), Ogun (8), Rivers (7), Ondo (5), Kaduna (4), Nasarawa (2).

“Till date, 41804 cases have been confirmed, 18764 cases have been discharged and 868 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.”
