Some police officers were caught on camera threatening to shoot Nigerians participating in the ongoing protest for the scrapping of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) at Mary Slessor Roundabout, in Calabar, Cross River State.
KanyiDaily had reported that there is an ongoing #EndSARS protest across the country against the SARS tactical unit of the Nigerian Police Force over brutality, illegal arrest, extortion, extra-judicial killings, among others.
Series of videos circulating on the social media from the #EndSARS protest in Calabar on Monday, show a police officer threatening to seize the mobile phones of the protesters.
Some protester also alleged that SARS operatives are on sight at the protest, and police officers are threatning to shoot them if they don’t stop the protest.
