The couple, who had a flamboyant wedding in November 2015, went their separate ways after an Abuja high court granted the divorce on Thursday, January 28, 2020.

Lilian had first filed for divorce in a Lagos High Court in 2019, but it was denied after she testified that Franklin provides for their child and maintain a cordial relationship.
The verdict prompted Franklin, who is a Special Assistant on Entertainment to Cross River Governor, Ben Ayade, to file for another divorce in an Ikeja court and it was granted.
The couple are blessed with a four-year-old son named Jayden during their marriage which lasted for just one year.
