Some suspected internet fraudsters, popularly known as ‘Yahoo Boys’ have blocked the Ilesha/Osogbo expressway in Osun State, while protesting alleged incessant arrests by the Economic Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).
It was learnt that the protesting youths went on a rampage on Tuesday by making bonfires on the major road at the entrance of the Ilesa Council office.
The protest action rendered motorists using the road to be stranded as no vehicle was allowed to pass the road which was block since morning.
The angry youths were protesting the recent invasion by EFCC operatives who stormed their hotel and arrested some of their colleagues.
When contacted, the spokesperson of Nigeria Civil Defence Corps (NCDC), Osun Command, Daniel Adigun confirmed the protest to The Nation.
