Veteran Nollywood actor and production manager, Abiodun Aleja died on Friday at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH).
His wife who broke the news to chairman of the Lagos chapter of the National Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners (NANATAP), Makinde Adeniran.
According to her, Aleja died on Friday after he was admitted at the LASUTH Hospital after he slumped at home weeks ago due to an undisclosed ailment.
The filmmaker reportedly went into coma but was revived at the hospital. He gave up the ghost while recuperating.
“Colleagues in NANTAP and others even raised funds for his medical treatment especially when a one million naira deposit was demanded,” Adeniran said.
Aleja was known for his many diverse talent in the movie industry especially his role in Kunle Afolayan’s ‘October 1’ blockbuster.
