Security Operatives Watch As Thugs Beat Up Sowore At Nnamdi Kanu’s Trial [Video]

Human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore was beaten up by thugs during the ongoing trial of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB).

KanyiDaily had earlier reported that Nnamdi Kanu was brought to the Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday, October 21, to stand trial for a seven-count amended charge bordering on incitement, treasonable felony and terrorism.

Omoyele Sowore was denied access into the court by the security operatives, and while he was talking to the security men, some boys numbering about 20 rough-handled him and left the scene.

While the hoodlums who were described as looking unkempt, attacked Sowore, slapping and punching him, the security operatives just kept looking at the entire scenario.

It took the shoutings from other people on ground to force the security agents into action and save Sowore, but the hoodlums left without being apprehended by the security operatives.

This sparked angry reactions from the onlookers, forcing the security operatives to get hostile and started hitting people including journalists with sticks.

KanyiDaily had earlier reported that Omoyele Sowore, lawyers, journalists, and Ohaneze Ndigbo representatives, were barred from entering the court premises for Nnamdi Kanu’s trial.

Last week, the Federal Government slammed an amended seven-count charge against Nnamdi Kanu bordering on incitement, treasonable felony and terrorism.
