“Our Meeting Wasn’t About Politics” – Tinubu Reveals Why He Visited Buhari In Aso Rock

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu has revealed why he visited President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Tunubu visited Buhari at the residence of the Presidential Villa, at about 11 am on Sunday and they held a closed-door meeting that lasted for about one hour.

Speaking with newsmen after the meeting, Tinubu said he was at the presidential villa to thank Buhari for visiting him in London where he sought medical treatment, stressing that his visit wasn’t about politics.

The APC leader said: “I came to thank President Muhammadu Buhari for visiting me in London when I had knee surgery. He demonstrated empathy. He is an exceptional leader.”

He added: “Only to thank the president, first of all, for his visit to my residence in London after the surgery and wishing me well, lifting my spirit and indeed what an exceptional leader will do to collaborate. So, that’s what I came for and to welcome him back from the trip to Saudi.

“No politics, just courtesy call to thank him in a big way, that’s all.”

Asked what the president’s response was, Tinubu said Buhari was happy he was around, adding that he was not obliged to speak on other things they discussed.

KanyiDaily recalls that President Buhari had a few months ago, visited Bola Tinubu in London when the APC leader was receiving medical treatment.
