Nigerian superstar, Wizkid has added three more plaques to his shelf as he emerged as one of the biggest winners at the 2021 African Music Awards.
Wizkid, who was nominated in four categories in this year’s AFRIMA, bagged three awards including the Best African Artist of the Year, Best Song of the Year, and Best African Collaborations during the event held on Sunday night at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The biggest winner of the night was Malian singer, Iba One, who won four awards — Album of the Year, African Male Artiste in Inspirational Music, Best Song Writer and Best Male Artiste from Western Africa.
Nigerian singer, Fireboy DML also won two AFRIMA awards including African Fans’ Favourite and Best Duo African Hip hop award alongside Cheque.
The 2021 AFRIMA Awards was hosted by Eddie Kadi and Pearl Thusi and witnessed performances from Patoranking, Chike, Olakira, D’Banj among others.
