Wizkid Bags Three Awards At AFRIMA 2021 [Full List Of Winners]

Nigerian superstar, Wizkid has added three more plaques to his shelf as he emerged as one of the biggest winners at the 2021 African Music Awards.

Wizkid, who was nominated in four categories in this year’s AFRIMA, bagged three awards including the Best African Artist of the Year, Best Song of the Year, and Best African Collaborations during the event held on Sunday night at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The biggest winner of the night was  Malian singer, Iba One, who won four awards — Album of the Year, African Male Artiste in Inspirational Music, Best Song Writer and Best Male Artiste from Western Africa.

Nigerian singer, Fireboy DML also won two AFRIMA awards including African Fans’ Favourite and Best Duo African Hip hop award alongside Cheque.

The 2021 AFRIMA Awards was hosted by Eddie Kadi and Pearl Thusi and witnessed performances from Patoranking, Chike, Olakira, D’Banj among others.

African Male Artiste in Inspirational Music – Iba One

Best Song Writer – Iba One

Best Male Artiste from Western Africa – Iba One

Best Producer of The Year – Beatz

Best Artiste or Duo in African Dance or Choreography – Favour alongside Diamond Platnumz and Fally Ipupa

This comes barely one week after Wizkid emerged winner of the Best African Act in this year’s edition of the MTV Europe Music Awards.
