Tonto Dikeh Reveals Why She Has Never Attended Any Burial Since She Was A Child

Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh has asked her friends to pray for her and her family while revealing why she has never attended any burial since she was a child.

Tonto Dikeh Reveals Why She Don’t Attend Burials

In a post shared on her Instagram page, the actress said she has never attended any burial before and she doesn’t plan to attend any due to a decision she made while growing up.

The mother-of-one, who stated this while addressing her friends who think she’s shutting them out following the death of her stepmother, said she wouldn’t want to reciprocate the gesture of attending their burials in the future.

She asked her friends and colleagues in the movie industry not to bother sending her consolation messages or monetary contribution following the death of her stepmother as she may not appreciate such things now.

Tonto Dikeh, who disclosed that her “mother’s burial” might be the first she would attend in her lifetime, noted that prayer is what her family needs from friends and not condolences messages or money as she would prefer to grieve privately.

She wrote, “I have never attended a burial before. I will never attend one too. I said this when I was a child and I stick by it

“My mum’s burial will/might be my first ever. To all my friends who think I am shutting them out, my reason is I don’t attend burials.

“If I let you attend my mum’s I will owe you the same favour and I can’t repay that. If you love me, pray for my family. If you intend to support me, only pray for me.

“Don’t send a dime or a consolation message. I don’t do so well with that! But know I appreciate you all a lot and I’m grateful.”

Reflecting on her feelings, the actress added: “My pain is bigger than you think. Your presence may mean a lot but I’ll love to grieve privately.”

KanyiDaily recalls that Tonto Dikeh had recently revealed what she would do to those parents if her child happens to be a victim of bully.
