The actress shared the update in a series of posts on her Instagram Story on Wednesday, expressing gratitude after the divorce was finalised.
One of the posts she reposted from a friend read, “Thank You Jesus. My queen is free,” while another simply said, “Thank You Jesus. It is done.”
On Thursday, Ovire also shared a video of herself on Snapchat with the caption, “Miss Peggy Ovire,” suggesting she has returned to using her maiden name.
Her confirmation comes just weeks after she publicly accused Frederick Leonard of cheating on her with a married woman.
At the time, Peggy Ovire also called on the actor to appear in court to conclude the divorce proceedings.
She further alleged that although Leonard filed for the divorce, he failed to attend two court hearings, choosing instead to have his lawyer represent him.
