“Naira Marley, Marlians Want To Kill Me” – Mohbad Cries Out After NDLEA Arrest [Video]

Nigerian singer signed to Marlian Records, Mohbad has accused his boss, Naira Marley, andmates of trying to kill him after he was released from the custody of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

KanyiDaily had reported how Mohbad and Zinoleesky were arrested by NDLEA operatives who raided their apartment in the early hours of Thursday, February 24.

In a viral video, the two artists were seen being harassed and manhandled by men of the agency who claimed that “some quantities of Cannabis and Molly were recovered from their apartment and car.”

Other individuals in the neighborhood also put up resistance as they demanded an arrest warrant from the officers which resulted in a struggle between residents and the NDLEA.

NDLEA spokesman, Femi Babafemi, who confirmed the development, said six persons – two females and four males – were arrested during the midnight raid.

Mohbad Released From NDLEA Custody

On Thursday night, Naira Marley who has a case with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), revealed that Mohbad has been released from NDLEA custody, while Zinoleesky is still detained.

The Marlian boss, who disclosed this on his Twitter page, lamented that his brothers (Marlians) are being treated unjustly. He also called for the release of all his detained crew.

He tweeted, “NDLEA have released Mohbad after physically assaulting him, Zinoleesky is still in custody. The boys are under a lot of stress after being ambushed in the middle of the night with no warrant. I’m urgently returning to lagos now now now.

“What is happening to my brothers is disgusting. The injustice is unfair and this is beginning to look like a pattern. First me now my artists. Free Zinoleesky, free shubomi, free micee and dosky 💔”

Mohbad Calls Out Naira Marley, Marlians

However, moments after his release from NDLEA custody, Mohbad made a series of videos via his Instagram live where he accused Naira Marley and his label mates of trying to kill him.

In the disturbing video which has gone viral on social media, Mohbad could be heard crying for help, calling on the police while repeatedly saying he doesn’t want to die.
