The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reportedly arrested popular socialite, Cubana Chief Priest at Murtala Muhammad International Airport in Lagos.

Cubana Chief Priest Arrested By EFCC

It was gathered that the socialite was arrested at the Lagos airport on Thursday, March 31, over alleged money laundering and tax fraud.

Though allegations against the socialite were sketchy as of press time, it was learnt that he’s being quizzed by anti-graft operatives while the agency was said to be on the hunt for his accomplices.

Punch reported that only his wife and family members were allowed to see him since he was taken into custody, adding that he may be granted administrative bail this week.

The development comes weeks after his associate, Obi Cubana, was arrested and detained by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for alleged drug dealing.
