The presidential candidate of the African Action Party (AAC), Omoyele Sowore claims that some former Nigerian leaders are working for the emergence of his counterpart in the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, to become president in 2023.
In a post shared on his Twitter page, the activist said former President Olusegun Obasanjo, ex-heads of state, Ibrahim Babangida, and Abdulsalam Abubakar are the godfathers of the former Anambra governor.
Sowore, who also named the Chairman of Northern Elders Forum, Ango Abdullahi, and former National Security Adviser, Aliyu Gusau among the godfathers, accused them of ruining Nigeria.
He urged Nigerians not to vote for Obi because criminals were backing him.
”Olusegun Obasanjo, Ibrahim Babangida, Aliyu Gusau, abubakar Abdusalam and Ango Abdulahi are @PeterObi’s “God fathers” the people that ruined Nigeria are the ones fronting for him. May it never happen that we work with these criminals! #WeCantContinueLikeThis,” he wrote.
KanyiDaily recalls that Omoyele Sowore had previously mocked Peter Obi, saying the Labour Party has become an orphanage for displaced politicians.
