The Lagos State Ministry of Transport has arrested some persons who claimed to be acting on behalf of the ministry, tagged: M.O.T Taskforce, while on illegal duty in parts of the state.
M.O.T Impersonators Nabbed By Lagos
The M.O.T impersonators, said to be disturbing motorists around Mushin Local Government Area of the state, were arrested today, Tuesday, August 23.
The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on New Media, Jibril Gawat, disclosed this in a terse statement on his official twitter handle on Tuesday evening.
He did not give much details to the arrest, saying more information will be made available shortly.
“BREAKING NEWS: Lagos State Ministry of Transport today arrested some MOT impersonators disturbing motorists around Mushin Local Government Area of Lagos State ….. Details Later,” Gawat wrote.
The arrest of these M.O.T impersonators comes few days after the state government said it arrested a fake traffic agent, simply identified as Batula Tiwalade.
The fake agent claimed to be acting on behalf of the M.O.T Taskforce, while on illegal duty in part of the state.
He was handed over to security agencies for investigation and possible prosecution.
