In what appears to be a sarcastic comment, former senator representing Kaduna Central in the senate, Shehu Sani has urged other states to emulate the salary increase by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos for civil servants in the state.
Kanyi Daily had reported that Sanwo-Olu recently announced a salary increase for workers in the state, citing current economic realities as reason.
Taking to his official twitter handle on Thursday, October 6th, Sani said the proposed salary increase for Lagos civil servants by the governor is commendable.
He added that other states should emulate the gesture.
Sani then said that the season of election “is usually full of goodies.”
He wrote, “The proposed salary increase for Lagos Civil servants,as announced by the Lagos Governor is commendable.Other States should emulate this gesture.Election season is usually full of goodies.”
