A suspected thief, Azeez Jimoh has been arrested by the Meiran division patrol officers of the Lagos State Police Command, while he alongside two other men was robbing pedestrians.
Spokesman of the command, Benjamin Hundeyin disclosed this in a short tweet with a picture of the suspect on his official handle.
Hundeyin said the three men using a motorcycle while robbing the pedestrians on Thursday, December 15, spotted the patrol officers and took to their heels.
According to him, after a hot pursuit, Azeez Jimoh was arrested.
The police image maker said a locally made pistol, three unexpended cartridges, eight stolen phones, a wristwatch, a security chain, and padlock, and N93,200 cash were recovered from him.
He added that efforts are on to arrest the fleeing two.
