Police Arrest 65-Year-Old Fake Army Lieutenant Who Duped Man Of 120k

The Lagos State Police command has arrested a 65-year-old fake army lieutenant, Jeremiah Joseph after duping a man, Ignatius of N120,000.

Spokesman of the command, Benjamin Hundeyin stated this in a tweet on his official handle on Tuesday.

He said Joseph was arrested by officers of the Ipaja division.

According to Hundeyin, the fake Lieutenant promised to arrange soldiers to help Ignatius recover N4.5m owed him by some people in Delta State.

The police spokesman said Joseph received N120,000 for the service and thereafter absconded.

He said a fake Army identity card and uniform were found in the apartment of the fake officer.

The tweet reads, “Officers of Ipaja Division have arrested 65-year old Jeremiah Joseph who presented himself as an Army Lieutenant to one Ignatius. The fake Lieutenant promised to arrange soldiers to help Ignatius recover N4.5m owed him by some people in Delta State.

“He received N120,000 for this service and thereafter absconded.

“Found in his apartment were a fake Army identity card and uniform.”
