Elections: Court Stops INEC From Engaging MC Oluomo In Material Distribution

A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos State on Monday, stopped the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from engaging the services of the chairman of the Lagos Parks and Garages, Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, to distribute election materials in the state.

INEC Stopped From Engaging MC Oluomo In Material Distribution

This followed the prayer of the Labour Party (LP) which sought an order to bar INEC from using MC Oluomo, from distributing election materials in Lagos.

Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke granted the prayer of the LP.

Meanwhile, Kanyi Daily reported that Nigerian singer, Peter Okoye has sent a strong message to governors elected under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) regarding the naira redesign/swap policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) which has led to naira scarcity and economic hardship in the country.
