Jandor and Funke, who were the governorship and deputy governorship candidates of the party, were defeated by the incumbent governo, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was declared winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday.
Sanwo-Olu polled 762,134 votes while the Labour Party’s Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour got 312,329 votes and Jandor came a distance third with 62,449 votes.
