“You Were Not Re-Elected, You Selected Yourself” – Falz Slams Sanwo-Olu

Nigerian rapper, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has taken to social media to slam Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu over his re-election.

KanyiDaily recalls that Babajide Sanwo-Olu was on Monday declared winner of the Lagos governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The governor had taken to his Twitter page to thank Lagosians for the overwhelming support, pledging to continue to work tirelessly to deliver a better Lagos for all.

Reacting to the post, Falz said that Sanwo-Olu wasn’t re-elected but had selected himself, adding that everyone had seen the whole electoral irregularities unfold and the governor is only deceiving himself.

“You were not re-elected. You selected yourself. Everybody saw it unfold. You are only deceiving yourselves,” the rapper wrote.

KanyiDaily recalls that Falz had recently said that Nigeria needs a general overhaul due to the worsening economy and hardship experienced by citizens of the country.
