Funke Akindele Deletes PDP’s Political Posts From Her Instagram Page After Election Loss

Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele has deleted some posts relating to politics from her Instagram page after suffering electoral defeat.

KanyiDaily recalls that Akindele and her principal, Abdul-Azeez Adediran aka Jandor, who contested under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) were defeated in the just concluded Lagos governorship election.

Jandor and Funke, who were the governorship and deputy governorship candidates of the party, were defeated by the incumbent governo,  Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was declared winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday.

Sanwo-Olu polled 762,134 votes while the Labour Party’s Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour got 312,329 votes and Jandor came a distance third with 62,449 votes.

A check by KanyiDaily on Monday showed that Funke Akindele had deleted posts, videos of her campaign and party activities, leaving only personal photos and those of her movie promotions.

Meanwhile, Nollywood actress, Etinosa Idemudia has taken to social media to share her thought about the just concluded 2023 elections.
