Peller claimed that Yoruba people tend to beg for money in a bold and direct way, sometimes requesting large amounts without hesitation.
He described their approach as “premium and threatening.”
“I’m a Yoruba boy but Yoruba people beg a lot. Their begging is premium and threatening; telling you to give them 1 million naira or above,” Pellet said.
His comments quickly went viral, sparking debate online.
Many viewers criticised Peller, accusing him of generalising and speaking disrespectfully about his own ethnic group, while others reacted with mixed opinions.
