Independent Woman Don Taya – Toke Makinwa Cries Out

Media personality, Toke Makinwa has lamented that an “Independent woman is tired.”

Toke Makinwa stated this in a short tweet on her handle on Tuesday.

It is, however, not clear who she was referring to, it was obvious the actress was referring to herself.

She wrote, “Independent woman don taya.”

In 2016, Toke Makinwa filed for a divorce to end her marriage with her ex-husband, Maje Ayida, because he committed adultery.

The marriage was finally dissolved in 2017 at the Igbosere High Court in Lagos.

At the court, Makinwa had said that Ayida was involved in an extra-marital affair, which produced a child.

Last year, Makinwa told her fans that she wants to get married again, giving them reasons for the decision.

She made this known in a Question and Answer segment on her Instagram story after a fan asked her if she would like to get married again.

The fan asked, “Do you think of having a child without marriage? Or you’re keen on marriage?”

In response, Makinwa said she wanted to remarry, as she does not want her kids to go through her ordeal while growing up.

She said, “I definitely want to get married again. Losing both my parents at 8 hurt so much.

“I’ll like my kids to have what I never had. Hopefully, the universe sends a good man/dad.”
