JUST IN: Soldier Recovers Laptop, Other Items Stolen From Motorists By Armed Robbers On Eko Bridge

An unnamed Nigerian soldier has helped some motorists recover their items stolen by armed robbers who robbed them on the Eko Bridge, Lagos on Friday.

In a couple of videos posted by Instablog on its Twitter handle on Friday, one of the female victims narrated behind the camera, how the incident happened.

In one of the videos which had the unnamed soldier, she narrated that she and other passengers in a vehicle were robbed while on the Eko bridge by two young men.

She said cars behind her were passing and no one stopped or cared to ask.

The lady revealed that after some five minutes, the unnamed soldier arrived at the scene on his bike and inquired what happened.

According to her, after being told, the soldier went after the robbers and was able to retrieve their items, including laptop, phones, handbags, and the wallet in the bag.

She expressed appreciation to the soldier and said the incident will be reported to the appropriate authorities.

While lamenting the destruction done to their vehicle the lady expressed dismay that the robbers, who were armed with machetes, were walking confidently even after robbing them.

Located near the popular Apongbon Market on Lagos Island, the Eko bridge has been hotspot for traffic robbers.

Reports say Lagosians who use the bridge have severally complained of being robbed.

The Bridge is one of three bridges (including the Third Mainland and Carter bridges) connecting Lagos Island to the mainland.

In other news, Kanyi Daily reported that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Friday, said it will go after some outgoing public officials after May 29.

May 29 is Nigeria’s official handover date.
