Peter Okoye stated this in a tweet on his official Twitter handle on Wednesday afternoon.
According to him, he is an Igbo man married to a Yoruba woman.
He added that Igbos do not hate Yorubas and Yorubas do not hate Igbos either.
Peter Okoye noted that politicians do not like whether one is Igbo or Yoruba, saying that they only care about their pockets.
He, therefore, advised Nigerians to be wiser.
The music star wrote, “I am an lgbo man married to a Yoruba woman! Igbos do not hate Yorubas.
“Neither do Yorubas hate Igbos.
Politicians are using tribe as an excuse to cover their evil.
“They don’t like you whether Igbo or Yoruba.
They only care about their pockets. Be wiser.”
