Two Injured As Vehicle Conveying Inmates Hit Commercial Bus

Two persons were injured on Thursday after a vehicle conveying inmates to the State High Court, Osogbo, hit a commercial minibus.

The accident caused palpable tension in Osogbo, the Osun State Capital.

Reports say the incident also caused a violent protest as commercial motorcyclists and some angry youths blocked the popular Olaiya Junction in protest.

According to some eyewitnesses, the correctional truck driver refused to obey a traffic light that had signaled him to stop and in the process, hit a minibus, leaving the driver and one of the passengers injured.

Police officers have been drafted to the scene and have started dispersing the protesters with teargas.

In other news, Kanyi Daily reported that Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has lost his first son Kambilinachukwu.

The 16-year-old reportedly collapsed on Wednesday while playing football in school.
