EFCC Arrests ‘Yahoo Boy’ Who Built Luxury Hotel From $268,000 Fraud, Recovers Personalised Plate Number Benz

A suspected internet fraudster, better known as “Yahoo Boy“, Precious Ojo has been arrested by operatives of the Benin zonal command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The 26-year-old Ojo, who is also known as Obago was arrested in Oghara, Delta State following a petition received from a United States of America citizen, on his fraudulent activities.

The petitioner had alleged that the suspect impersonated one Raymond Bush who works in the US Treasury to defraud her of $268,000.00.

The suspect was arrested at his hotel in Oghara.

A statement issued by EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, said the “Yahoo Boy” confessed to building the luxury hotel with his alleged proceeds of crime.

“Other items recovered from him include a Mercedes-Benz car with personalised plate number and mobile phones,” the statement reads.

According to Uwujaren, the suspect will be arraigned in court soon.

In other news, Kanyi Daily reported that the Delta State Police Command has arrested four suspected armed robbers and recovered 30 rounds of 7.62 AK47 ammunition and 250 rounds of live cartridges.
