Stanley Okorie, a legendary Nollywood soundtrack composer and vocalist, claims to have written over 10,000 songs throughout his career.
He revealed this when appearing as a guest on a recent episode of Wonu Osikoya’s Osikoya Speaks podcast.
The ‘Billionaire (onye ji cash)’ crooner said that for nearly four years, he was responsible for all of Nollywood’s music.
He did, however, admit that his achievement came at a cost, as his neglect of his family owing to deadlines often irritates his wife.
“For about four years, I was making all the music in Nollywood,” Okorie explained. I’ve written nearly 10,000 songs.

“There’s a lot. And believe me, it comes at the expense of other things being neglected. Because you are so concentrated on your craft, you don’t have time for many things. You can’t attend birthday parties because you have deadlines. You can’t do wedding anniversaries; that one always irritated my wife.”
The veteran stated that the reappearance of his iconic track ‘Billionaire (onye ji cash)’ demonstrates that “art is immortal.”
It excites him to watch people dance to a song he wrote six years ago on Tiktok.
